Talanta has an easy six points to collect against two relegation candidates. They have to take all of these six points. However, two wins will help push Talanta up the table and make sure they go to the December matches with confidence.

The victory ensured that Aduana moved into the top four of the Ghanaian Premier League. It’s still early days in the season; however, it looks like Joseph Bediako’s team will have a good season.

Their away form is something that Aduana head coach Bediako will look to exploit when doing his preparations for the match. Another motivating factor to get a win on Saturday is the home loss Aduana suffered at the hands of Faisal, something that still bothers Bediako; he wants to compensate the supporters with a run of home wins.

With all facts considered, Aduana stand a good chance of winning over the weekend against WAFA.

In the 2020/2021 Nigerian Professional Football League, which finished in August, they were runners up, finishing in second place behind Akwa United. However, while the league is on a break, Enyimba has steadily fulfilled its continental football duties.

Enyimba is known in the continent for how they impose themselves on the game. They will need to enforce this mentality into the game when they play Al-Littihad.

Al-Littihad is also in the same predicament as Enyimba when it comes to match fitness. Although they recently started their league campaign, their opening game was on 22 Monday, November. Al-Littihad won their opening league game when they beat Abu Salem 2-0.

The tie against Enyimba will be their first in the Confederation Cup; they were relegated to the Confed Cup after being knocked out of the Champions League by ES Tunis. They too will be motivated to do well in the competition.

Sunday’s encounter should be a tight affair. Both teams will be resilient defensively. The game may be decided by some individual brilliance or a team pouncing on a lapse of concentration.

Makata’s main objective this season is to avoid relegation; he has to secure the club’s status to ensure the team’s growth, brand, and fan base. In addition, he now has to galvanize his side to be ready for the Coastal Union game.

Coastal Union will visit the Jamhuri Stadium on the back of an away win against Polisi Tanzania, where they won 1-0. The smash and grab victory was a morale booster for Coastal Union, and they will take inspiration from it when they meet the high-flying newcomers in the Premier League.

Coastal Union is in fine form, too; their last five results include one win, three draws and one loss. Although they are in ninth place on the log with seven points, they trail Dodoma by four points. Dodoma on Sunday will want to widen the gap between them and Coastal Union.

Three points will be ideal for Dodoma and ensure they continue to have an excellent start in the topflight.

Makutu’s experience and knowledge of continental football will come in handy. The striker has 12 goals in 17 games in the Confederation Cup, while in the CAF Champions League, he has an impressive seven goals in ten games. He’ll be looking to rediscover the form that made him one of the most dangerous strikers on the continent.

The former Congolese national will also help with the development of young players in the dressing room. A player like Kadima Kabangu can learn a lot from a seasoned pro like Makusu.

Previewing Sundays crucial encounter USGN, Motema Pembe would have had enough time to rest and should be feeling refreshed. However, they didn’t play over the weekend; their last match was on Wednesday, 10 November, when they defeated Kinshasa 3-0. They are seventh in the Congolese league.

In the second tier of the continental competition, DCMP has done well so far. They entered the competition in the second round of the early stages. They took on Rwanda’s Kigali and won the two-legged tie 4-2. They won both the home and away legs by 2-1.  In the two legs, they were the dominant side, often attacking the front foot.

The Immacules will have to play the same way they did against Kigali when they take on USGN. Much of the attack came from the left-hand side against Kigali, and the left-sided players showed great chemistry, and they should be used as an offensive outlet if Motema Pembe wants an away win.

USGN will be a tough opposition at home, but Motema Pembe will be confident of getting something from the match and be comfortable before the return leg in December.
