Daring Club Motema Pembe will travel to Kindu to face Maniema Union in a Linafoot clash on Thursday, 10 February.
Thursday’s match is a clash between two of the biggest teams in the Congo and promises to deliver fireworks. Both teams enjoy great support from fans in their respective provinces.
DCMP and Maniema are provincial clubs that have played in the shadow of teams like TP Mazembe and AS Vita for a long time. But they have been able to make their mark in African continental competitions, playing against teams in North and Southern Africa. Key to their success is the talented coach, Landeut. He is renowned for his vision and his ability to execute a plan, which is critical to the team’s development.
Their performance has enhanced their reputation across the continent and has helped DCMP to secure a partnership with betting agency 10Bet Africa. The two parties have joined forces to help grow the state of football on the continent, and the partnership has been fruitful so far.
Thanks to the support from their sponsor, DCMP has been able to invest in their squad and the season promises to be a positive one. The Immaculates have had a few disruptions in their season but now are looking to put that behind and focus on improving their game.
DCMP started 2022 on a good note, winning two out of three games. They began the year by defeating JSK 4-0 and then beat Lubumbashi Sport 2-1 at home. They then played out to a 1-1 draw against Don Bosco.
The Kinshasa based outfit currently finds itself in fifth place on the Linafoot table. They have collected 25 points and have played 13 matches while others have played 17 games. This means DCMP will have to catch up if they hope to turn the games result into to meaningful points.
Their opponents Maniema Union are above them on the log in fourth place with 31 points having played two more games than DCMP. Maniema Union are coming off back to back wins against Dauphins Noirs and Etoile de Kivu. They will be confident going into Thursday’s match against DCMP.
DCMP will provide an interesting test for Maniema Union; they won’t be a walk in the park like their recent opponents. DCMP, in recent games, have found a new attacking outlet, they no longer initiate their attacks through the wings but they go through the middle. This is something that has caught teams off guard and they will use this to their advantage on Thursday.
DCMP know that three points will take them closer to Maniema Union and will focus on taking control of the game, keeping possession and outplaying the home team.
We predict that DCMP will pull out a surprising 2-1 victory against Maniema Union.
